Food Safety (Certificate)

The Food Safety graduate certificate equips the food processing industry professionals with essential knowledge and skills to implement preventive control and hazard analysis measures, which can effectively mitigate microbiological, physical, and chemical hazards. This comprehensive certificate program focuses on fostering an understanding of overarching food safety principles, ensuring the development and production of safe, high-quality food products and ingredients. Admission Requirements

Applicants must have a BS/BA degree or equivalent four-year degree. Core courses for this program have a prerequisite of MB 251 General Microbiology/MB 252 General Microbiology Laboratory or equivalent microbiology course with lab.
