Career Development Center
The Career Development Center supports NC State undergraduate and graduate students, as well as recent alumni, with career exploration, professional development, and the transition from college to career. The Center’s services are designed to meet students where they are; helping them build confidence, skills, and professional connections.
The Career Development Center offers 1:1 appointments with career counselors, drop-in career advising, career assessments, resume and cover letter review and assistance, interview preparation, and job and internship search support. Students are also offered opportunities to connect with potential employers through career fairs, information sessions, networking events, externships, and experiential learning opportunities, such as internships and co-ops. Guidance is also available for pre-professional students pursuing law and health related careers.
Experiential learning is a central focus of the Career Development Center’s work. The Co-op Program provides structured, paid work experiences related to a student’s major, while Rural Works! connects students with paid summer internships in rural communities across North Carolina. The Center also manages ePACK, NC State’s online career management system for job and internship searches, appointments, event registration, and career resources.
