New Student Programs (NSP)

New Student Programs (NSP) supports the successful transition and integration of new NC State students by providing coordinated programs, resources, and experiences for first-year, transfer, and international students. NSP focuses on establishing a strong foundation for academic success, personal development, and meaningful engagement with the campus community.

NSP is committed to supporting students as they navigate key transition points in their college journeys. Through orientation, pre-semester initiatives, and targeted second-year experiences, NSP helps students build confidence, understand institutional expectations, and develop a sense of responsibility and belonging within the Wolfpack community. Programs are designed to promote connection, encourage leadership development, and equip students with the skills and knowledge needed to thrive throughout their time at NC State.

NSP maintains a strong commitment to collaboration across the University and continually evaluates its programs to ensure they are responsive, innovative, and aligned with the evolving needs of new students and their families.
