NC State University Jeffrey Wright Military and Veteran Services (MVS) is the centralized unit within the Division of Academic and Student Affairs (DASA) that supports military-connected students and families. We provide coordinated services, advocacy, and resources that empower military‑connected students to connect, thrive, and succeed at NC State, reflecting the Wolfpack’s commitment to helping every student reach their full potential.
At the heart of our work is fostering a strong sense of belonging, purpose, and community – from the moment students arrive on campus, to graduation and life beyond. This commitment aligns with DASA’s mission to equip students with the tools, support, and opportunities they need to succeed academically, personally, and professionally.
MVS serves:
- Discharged and retired veterans
- Active‑duty service members
- Members of the National Guard and Reserve Components
- Military spouses and dependents
- Gold Star family members
Our services support students as they:
- Transition to campus life, with guidance on educational benefits, enrollment, and navigating university systems
- Persist to graduation, through individualized support, campus referrals, and connection with military‑affiliated peers
- Prepare for life after NC State, with career exploration, professional development, and employer engagement
In addition to direct support, MVS builds community through leadership opportunities and signature programs that connect military‑conected students with one another and the broader Wolfpack community. We continue to support alumni through networking, engagement, and resources as they transition into careers and communities after NC State.
